KENT STATE UNIVERSITY, TUSCARAWAS CAMPUS
Lawhon conducted a hazardous building materials assessment of University Hall, Attention Hall and associated out buildings/garages to comply with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) National Emissions Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP). These unoccupied buildings are slated for demolition in preparation for future building projects on the campus. L&A utilized existing hazardous materials building survey reports for University Hall to minimize sampling efforts, focusing on areas not sampled or inaccessible during the initial survey. A complete assessment, including roof systems, was completed at Attention Hall and out buildings/garages. L&A prepared abatement specifications and associated drawings for inclusion in contract documents prepared by KSU personnel. We assisted the University in evaluating bids and performed post-abatement visual inspections at the completion of abatement operations to confirm all specified materials were removed.
