This project involves the rehabilitation of the superstructure, substructure and channel bed over Doan Creek for the municipal bridge located along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. In our role as the lead environmental consultant for this project, L&A was tasked with conducting an asbestos survey of the bridge. Our scope of services included review of as-built drawings, visual assessment of the complete structure for the presence of asbestos-containing materials and the collection of bulk samples for analysis in accordance with ODH/EPA sampling protocols. A detailed report of findings was prepared for inclusion with the Categorical Exclusion. L&A also prepared the EPA Notification of Demolition and Renovation on behalf of the Ohio Department of Transportation.
