The Old Sheraton Hotel

Under the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency’s Voluntary Action Program (OEPA VAP), L&A has literally made its mark in Columbus, Ohio. Originally known as the “old Sheraton Hotel” the Adam’s Mark Hotel, opened in March 1997. This was the first site in Franklin County to receive a Covenant Not to Sue (CNS) for unrestricted use from the OEPA. L&A’s Certified Professional and expert team developed a streamlined approach to determine the exposure to any chemicals found at the property were at “no adverse effect” levels. Critical issues addressed by L&A’s investigation included the presence of asbestos and proper disposal of residual materials on the property. This site set precedence for dealing with asbestos under the VAP rules.
