A Health and Safety Plan (HASP) plan was developed by Lawhon and Associates,
Inc. to identify and advise the construction company workers and subcontractors
of health and safety hazards encountered during soil excavation activities
at hydrocarbon contaminated release sites. The scope of work covered
by the plan included soil excavation and construction work occurring
in petroleum contaminated soil. The plan covered proper Personal Protective
Equipment, exposure precautions and safe handling information. Also,
excavation safety was covered and site safety issues. As a part of the
program training on the various aspects of the program were covered with
the client and his staff as well as a self-teach section being included
in the program.
