U.S. Army Fort Knox

Lawhon & Associates, Inc. (L&A) under contract with Woolpert conducted an Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), Environmental Assessment Checklist, Statutory Checklist, and the OHCP Environmental Review Record Field Notes Checklist for a Phase III sanitary improvement project located in Concord Township, northwest of the City of Troy in Miami County, Ohio.  At the time of Lawhon conducted the assessment, inadequate individual septic tanks and home aerators for wastewater treatment were common throughout the township.  This project was conducted in order to upgrade the system so that it would discharge into The City of Troy sewer system.  Based on the results of the NEPA EA, funding for the sewer improvements was awarded to the Township through the Ohio Department of Development under a HUD CDBG bock grant funds.
