Gas Station Site Near Airport

L&A performed work at a former fuel filling station located near Port Columbus International Airport in Columbus, Ohio. The site formerly contained four (4) underground storage tanks (USTs) which were removed. During UST closure activities, residual contamination of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX) and total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) were discovered in the soil and ground water. Lawhon and Associates, Inc. completed the soil and ground water sampling and also completed an Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR) Screening Risk Assessment (SRA).
