Lawhon & Associates,
Inc. assisted a major truck and engine manufacturing facility Corporation
in the decommissioning and demolition of the the
plant located in Springfield, Ohio. The primary goal of the project was
to remove all regulated materials and demolish the buildings on the site
in a timely and cost effective manner. This goal was met by completing
the following activities: 1) decommissioning all areas; 2) removal of
asbestos materials; 3) removal of transformer materials; 4) removal of
mercury containing materials; 5) removal of universal wastes (waste oils,
lights, etc); 6) removal of wood flooring; and 7) removal of electronic
computer equipment and other miscellaneous electronic equipment. All
this work was completed in compliance with all applicable federal, state
and local laws and regulations.
