Amanda Northern Road Bridge Replacement
Lawhon & Associates, Inc. staff conducted MOA-level ecological and Phase I archaeology surveys for the proposed Amanda Northern Road bridge replacement (FAI-CR15-3.071; PID 21001). The ecological evaluation included an evaluation of the terrestrial and wetland communities, and an evaluation for the presence of threatened and endangered species or their potential presence due to the existence of suitable habitat. There were no endangered species present, and no suitable habitat was present within the survey area. Similarly, there were no wetlands present within the survey area, though there were wetlands adjacent to the project area. The archaeological survey consisted of historic records and literature review, development of an historic context, field reconnaissance, data analysis, and National Register of Historic Places recommendations. The field reconnaissance inventoried two new archaeological sites, neither of which was considered eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. A Phase I survey report was submitted that detailed the findings of the survey.
