Ottawa River Bikeway, Phase II

Lawhon & Associates, Inc. staff managed ESA Screening, Phase I and Phase II ESAs, and a Level 1 Ecological Survey for the Ottawa River Bikeway Project in Lima, Ohio.  The proposed bikeway extends 1-mile from Main Street to Schoonover Park along the south and east sides of the Ottawa River.  The ESA Screening recommended additional environmental assessments for six parcels.  Phase I ESAs were conducted on the six parcels, and based on the Phase I results, Phase II ESAs were conducted on two parcels.  A Level 1 ecological survey was conducted, and included aquatic and terrestrial sampling, wetland determination and delineation, and the identification of potential Indiana bat roosting trees.
