Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio

Lawhon & Associates, inc. (L&A) was contracted by Hamilton County and Paul Brown Stadium to install two 250 gallon petroleum above ground storage tanks (ASTs) at the Paul Brown Stadium, 2 Paul Brown Stadium Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio. Installed were two, 250 gallon ASTs, one each for gasoline and diesel fuel. The tanks are Fireguard® double walled steel tanks. Each AST has collision protection in the form of 6 inch diameter concrete and steel posts, 5 gallon spill prevention bucket and a bermed concrete pad to catch spillage when fueling vehicles. Each tank was designed with secondary containment in the amount of 110% of the inner tank and meets the UL 142 and UL 2085 standards and are constructed to API and STI standards. All emergency venting meets the requirements of NFPA30. In addition, L&A strapped each AST down for flood protection. A concrete hold down pad was constructed as a base for the tanks and as counterweight against floatation.
